*****

We apologize to those of you who enjoyed seeing sugar and sodium tracked in your food diaries in the previous version of the iPad app. We have a quick workaround to bring these back into the app in less than 5 minutes.

A little background: With our latest update, we added the ability to synchronize customize nutrient column choices from our website to the iPad, a feature that was previously unavailable.

However, in adding this feature, the nutrients list, which previously ignored the online settings, will now match the default nutrient columns from the site, which includes only calories, carbohydrates, fat and protein and did not include sodium and sugar.

The good news is that you can get the sodium and sugar columns back, change them to something else you may rather track, and even change the order of the columns to suit your preference. To do this simply go to the online website at www.MyFitnessPal.com (just sign in with the same username and password as you do with the app).

Once online click "My Home" then "Settings" then "Diary Settings." At the top of that page you should see the "Nutrients Tracked" column. There you should see calories, which is standard, and then an option to track 5 additional nutrients. For each column, just use the pop-up menu to find the nutrient you would like to track. Once you have all the nutrients you prefer, then just hit the green "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page. The next time the app syncs, those categories should now be visible as well.
