- The RFDS plane will now return if you exit the game while they’re in the process of landing.  It takes more than that to stop the Royal Flying Doctor Service!

- New Airfield: Test your landing skills in the Australian outback, featuring the Royal Flying Doctors Service.

- Wi-Fi Multiplayer: 2 players can now play Flight Control together over a wireless network.

- Multiplayer Pause: you can now pause a multiplayer game.  Gameplay will resume following a 3, 2, 1 countdown, to allow both players to get ready.

- Choose Your Tunes (OS 3.0): select your favourite songs from your personal music library while playing Flight Control, so you can listen to your own music as well as the in-game sound effects.

- Transferring to a new device: you can now back up your Flight Control save data to iTunes and restore it to your new device without losing your data. If you sync to Cloudcell, but then lose your save game or do not back up to iTunes when changing devices, the next time you sync with your existing account you will have the option to overwrite your local data if the scores/stats on the server are higher.

To celebrate the OS 3.0 Software Update, Flight Control is going multiplayer!

Peer-to-Peer mutliplayer mode is compatible with iPhone 3G, iPhone 3G S and iPod touch (2nd generation).

Using Peer-to-Peer networking on supported devices, two Flight Controllers can now play together. One Controller will be in charge of pink aircraft, the other of yellow and blue. Aircraft will appear as usual, but you can only land your own colour(s) - other aircraft must be directed off the side of the screen and will then appear on the other Controller's airfield.

- Two new airfields: a beachside resort and an aircraft carrier

- Five new aircraft including a seaplane and navy jet
- Added a button that fast-forwards the game

Internet features (where a connection is available):

- Registering for online scores no longer requires an email address

- Additional in-game scoreboards now also include personal bests and all nearby players, regardless of rank

- Added a link to the game that opens your profile in a browser and logs you in for editing

- Web site: update your Cloudcell profile with tags to help your friends find you

- Web site: keep track of other Flight Controllers by "Following" them

- Web site: use tags and Follow to see custom leaderboards

Flight Control now incorporates Firemint’s Cloudcell technology to enable many of the online features described below. Visit flightcontrol.cloudcell.com to explore all that you can do.

- Online scores

You can now submit your stats to our online scores web site. In the game, you will see a list of recent scores from people at a similar level playing in your general area (if you shared your location). As your score gets higher, you will obtain new online ranks - work your way up from Passenger to Cabin Crew, Pilot and eventually Astronaut! Progress through the ranks to play against people further and further away, until you are competing against players across the globe. The Flight Control web site at flightcontrol.cloudcell.com contains global stats (high scores, best average, most landings) as well as your personal Flight Controller profile.

- Google Maps support from the website

If you choose to share your location when uploading your stats, flightcontrol.cloudcell.com will show you scores in your general location (within 500m to protect your privacy). Your profile map will also display the closest 10 players at your rank. Top stats are also linked to Google maps, so now you can find out which destinations boast the best Flight Controllers!

- Twitter support (enabled from the website)

We couldn't help noticing how many people are Twittering their Flight Control scores. You can now choose to link to your Twitter account and let us tweet your new personal best scores for you!

- Quick save and resume

We apologise for the mayhem and destruction on your runways that was previously caused by interruptions such as incoming phone calls. Now, whenever Flight Control closes while you are playing, it automatically saves your game. When you next load Flight Control you can resume right where you left off.

- Assorted minor fixes

A number of small bugs and issues have been fixed.
