Description

Track your GPS location while you're on the go, while the app stays in the background. While the recording is running, use your device for calls, browsing, ...

You can export your loggings later by mail, iTunes or to Dropbox, as KML, KMZ, GPX or CSV files or view them on the device.

NO internet connection is necessary for logging (nice when you travel abroad - data roaming is very expensive!).

Use the build in compass rose or use any of your logged waypoints for initiating a route planning (using iPhone's Maps app).

**************************************************************
GPSLogbook sends NO data to our servers.
Privacy is very important to us.
The app even works completely offline, if you wish.
**************************************************************

OPTIONALLY you can send your current position to a server of your choice or GPSLogbook's web service. So your friends can follow you online. It's a great feature! Server pings of course need an internet connection. Same goes for the "Where Am I" request, which shows the address of your current location.

Lots of ideas will be realized in the next versions.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Background processes require at least an iPhone 3GS and iOS4.
