iCapture! is the most portable way to capture ideas for mobile multitasking inventors. The purpose of iCapture! is provide an always-available program for capturing the minimum information sufficient to remember and later fully-disclose an invention.
Use iCapture! in situations where you need to disguise inventing from management (i.e., in meetings), when you have an idea at an extremely inconvenient moment (i.e., commuting), or when an idea catches you away from your laptop, invention disclosure form, or log book.
A good patent agent/attorney can draft a patent application from a solid descriptive paragraph, and a flow chart. So, iCapture! forces you to include invention date, title, and inventor, and at least 1 descriptive paragraph, and then you can email yourself a nicely formatted xml file that will let you copy and paste your iCapture!-ed answers into a proper invention disclosure form, on a proper screen, with a proper keyboard.
At the same time you email yourself, you can also email your co-inventors to let them see the idea and get their inventing started. And/or you could email your patent attorney to let them see that you've got an invention in the pipe on its way to them.
iCapture! is designed for inventors who receive invention incentives for turning in disclosures at work. The authors of iCapture used to work for a Fortune 50 electronics company and we've set the price at a payback of 1 disclosure at our old company.
That is, if you turn in 1 idea that you would have lost otherwise, you break even. Since good inventors capture at least 2 invention disclosures per month, if your employer has an invention incentive, you can afford to try this program! So please do. And, let us know new features you'd like to see in iCapture! 1.1!
