This app runs in the background. You can close it after you start recording your workout to:

Version 3.9.3 is so packed with features it practically does your workout for you.
Just open the app and take a deep whiff: that's the smell of calories burning. Ahhhh.
But seriously folks, this is a great upgrade chock full of hotly requested features:
β Auto Countdown: you asked, you got it. Go to the settings screen and set what the countdown timer should be. Your phone will vibrate when it's time to start.
β Split Pins on map: see your pace or speed as a pin drop on the map, at whatever interval you prefer (also under Settings)
β Live Map social post: Under "Live" menu, you can now post to Facebook or Twitter when you Go Live, so friends and family can track your progress, pace/speed, distnace, in real time and generally be astonished at the work you are putting in
(Privacy note: your Profile needs to be set to Public, or only friends on MapMy will be able to see you. Change your profile to Public on our websites).
β Better Social Posts: more descriptive and interesting Facebook and Twitter content, with links to your workout and routes, thumbnail maps, and more
β Cleaner Navigation: we got rid of the bottom tab bar and made more room for your Map and Stats during your workouts
