We are super excited to be releasing Over 2.0 to you. It is the most significant update we have released and it just might knock your socks off. Here is the run down of what you will find.

ADD ARTWORK: You can now add beautiful text and artwork to your photos! And not just any artwork, we spent the last few months collecting and creating some amazing and inspiring illustrations. This art is made with love and purpose for you to enjoy… So ENJOY!

THE MARKETPLACE: In this update you will find a marketplace that lets artists and brands publish fonts and artwork for you to use on your photos. We have packs from legendary artists, fun designers, cool organizations and there will be more coming all of the time! Some of the packs are premium but we packed a whole bunch of free stuff in here too.

INSTALL YOUR OWN FONTS: This one makes us crazy giddy. Simply open a font file from anywhere on your phone and you will see Over as an option for opening it. Open it, and VOILA! You installed a font in Over!

PRECISION TEXT EDITING: Get that text right where you want it with our new nudging tool and when your words need to breath, give them a little air with the CHARACTER and LINE SPACING TOOL.

BETTER, FASTER, FRIENDLIER INTERFACE: You will notice that the whole app is a heck of a lot faster, and have you ever noticed how that darn edit menu is always in the way? Not anymore! It will disappear right when you need it too. Also, the photo picker now presents bigger pictures, which should make it easier to pick the right photo for your project.

UPLOAD TO PINTEREST: Who loves Pinterest? We do! You need to make sure the Pinterest app is installed, after that you can upload to Pinterest directly from Over!

Opacity - now you can make your text blend nicely by adjusting the transparency.

Enhanced Edit Menu - the edit menu was blocking a lot of the screen in the last version. Now you can move it out of the way to see what you are working on.

Press and hold to add layer - if you love layers, you will love this feature.

Steedicons Improvement - many have asked how to get those pretty little hand drawn icons that are in the App Store screenshots. This update should make it much clearer! Look for them in the top of the font list.

★ Universal: Fully optimized for iPad with an ergonomic design that makes nearly all actions possible with only your thumbs.

★ Crop for Instagram: in the new edit menu you can now crop your photos into a square. Be sure to do this BEFORE you send your photo to Instagram.

★ New sharing options: share your photos on Flickr, or any other application that will accept photos from other apps.

★ Save high resolution pictures: you will love how crisp and clear the text is now. You can even save it multiple times and the quality is still amazing.

★ New handwritten Fonts, Windsong & Live Simply: Windsong is elegant and timeless, great for poetry and expressing deep emotion. Live Simply was made by an Over user Jamie Cayanong (@jmeelin on Instagram). It is remarkably authentic and works beautifully on almost any photo. It has really fun special character differences between capitals and lowercase. We are super excited to see what you make with both!

★ New photo view: works faster than ever with our new photo selector. ( If you are missing the stock backgrounds you can download higher resolution versions here http://bit.ly/overbgs )

★ Consolidated wheel & square cropping feature: the wheel was getting a little crowded, so we built a simple edit button for sizing, alignment, tinting and now square cropping. We also did this to make space for some exciting pro features that we are working on.

★ Precision font size selector: now you can dial in the size of your font faster, with greater accuracy and broad sizing limits.

★ The BIG pictures: imported DSLR photos can now be used.

★ Text is no longer blurry when trying to use small photos. The app will scale your photo up to ensure that is a clear and legible.

★ Overall stability improved; the app can now handle a larger variety of photo sizes and types.
