Version 2.3 adds the following features:

- Automatic Backups! Your active user will be backed up inside Proloquo2Go automatically every 24 hours, and the latest automatic backup will be visible in iTunes File Sharing when you connect your device to your computer. Import bug fix:

Version 2.2.2 fixes a serious bug that could prevent loading and restoring of version 1.x vocabularies to which a button with a photo had been added in version 2.2. This is a highly recommended update for all users and should fix “damaged vocabulary” and “vocabulary restore failed” error messages.

Version 2.1 (Jul 25, 2012)

Proloquo2Go 2.1 introduces a world’s premier: Josh and Ella, the first pair of genuine American children’s voices. Finally, children who cannot speak will have their own voice and will no longer need to use adult voices or fake children’s voices. Josh and Ella were custom-designed in a collaboration between AssistiveWare and Acapela Group and are optimized for the communication needs of children.

Josh and Ella can be downloaded for free from the Speech section of the Proloquo2Go Options.

Version 2.1 also includes a few small fixes.

Version 2.0.2 addresses three issues with the update process of version 1.x vocabularies to version 2. In some rare cases during the update process folders lost their links and in some cases the update resulted in an error. Version 1.8.5 (Apr 28, 2012)

Version 1.8.5 combines optimization for the gorgeous Retina display of the new iPad and a number of much requested features with bug fixes and stability enhancements.

The most important new features in version 1.8.5 are:

- Optimized artwork and symbol display for the gorgeous Retina display of the new iPad. All graphics look amazingly crisp.

- Introducing PresenterTouch™ - when an external display is attached and you’re in mirroring mode, a small circle will appear wherever your finger(s) touch the screen. Participants in a training can now see your touches projected on the external display and no longer need to guess where you are touching the screen.

- "Speak as you type" in the typing view now also works with shortcuts defined in the device Settings (under General -> Keyboard).

Additionally version 1.8.5 also contains a number of small enhancements and bug fixes.

Version 1.7.2 (Dec 4, 2011)

Version 1.7.2 is a bug fix release addressing a number of problems that were encountered with the major 1.7 update. Based on feedback from the Proloquo2Go user community, version 1.7.2 also brings back two experimental features that had been removed in version 1.7.

The most important changes in version 1.7.2 are:

- The "Adjust # of Columns" experimental feature that was removed in version 1.7 has been reinstated and can be used to show more columns when the device is used in landscape compared to when it is used in portrait orientation.

- The "Try to Fill Screen" experimental feature that was removed in version 1.7 has been reinstated and can be used to make some categories with few buttons have larger buttons to fill most of the screen.

- A bug that could cause items to randomly moved in some categories has been fixed.

- A rare bug that could cause the app to freeze with a white screen after launching the app has been fixed.

- If all views but the grid or list view have been restricted only a home button will appear in the bottom toolbar.

- The prediction button size for the typing view can now be set completely independently from the item size settings.

- Several rare crashing conditions were resolved

In all, version 1.7.2 contains 30 improvements and fixes.

This upgrade adds a number of general purpose enhancements as well as several features specifically targeted at users with hearing impairments, autism or fine motor control problems:

- Added visual feedback when message window is tapped.

- Repeated taps on the message window can now stop speech, restart speech, pause/continue speech or be ignored.

- A repeat delay can be set on the message window and the vocabulary buttons to prevent users from repeating the same message or button(s) over and over again.

- A hold duration can be set on the message window and the vocabulary buttons to prevent users with fine motor issues from accidentally triggering the wrong message or vocabulary button.

- Auto-conjugation now supports possessives of proper nouns.
