QRPager converts your iPhone into a pager device that uses QR code technology designed to keep your customers.
Once installed, the application will enable you to create your own alerts or notifications, both by writing the
message to be displayed in your mobile whenever somebody reads the QR code and by setting the possible answers to be
used in response.
QRPager can be used in any way you can imagine, here you have some examples:
* Stores and shops
Let's say you are a store or shop assistant and you need to run an errand right in the middle
of your shop's opening time. To do so, you lock the door and stick a note on it saying “I'll be back in a moment”. After
a few minutes, some customers arrive to the shop and find it closed. Traditionally, they wouldn't have any way to know
how much time you'd be away, so the only two options available would be waiting and leaving. But in this case you've
attached a QR code generated with QRPager to the note stuck on the door. Thanks to it, whenever customers read the QR
code you'll get a message saying, e.g., “There are customers waiting for you at the shop”, and you'll be able to answer,
e.g., “I'm coming”, “I'll be there in 5 minutes”, and such. After 5 minutes you'll already be back in the shop attending
the customers that were waiting for you, the very same that, without the QRPager communication, would have probably
left.
* Bars and restaurants
Let's say you have a bar or a restaurant with many tables to attend to, which can be
sometimes difficult to do. Luckily, you have QRPager, and you have previously created a QR alert for each able. This
way, whenever a customer arrives or wants to ask for the bill, shouting for the waiter or waiting until being able to
establish visual contact are no longer necessary. The customer will read the QR code on the table and you'll get a alert
in your iPhone informing you of which table is waiting for you, being able to give the costumer an answer so that they
know you are aware of their presence and will attend them as soon as possible.
* Professional carriers
Let's say you have a freight transport enterprise, a express delivery firm or a removal
company. You have a big vehicle fleet travelling to many different destinations. Many times, fleet drivers don't have a
pre-arranged location where to park, some other times roads are just not wide enough to make sure circulation is not
affected. In case one of your vehicles is impeding normal circulation while the driver is away from the vehicle, he can
be notified in a better way than just trying to hear the car horns: with QRPager, a QR code can be created for each one
of your vehicles, so that all of them have their QR code stuck on the back side of the car (to make it more visible) and
their drivers can be notified. That is, whenever somebody reads the QR code, the driver will get an alert and be able to
move the vehicle before creating a traffic jam or getting a traffic fine.
Nowadays almost everybody with a smartphone has a QR code reader installed in it, as they are free and available for most mobile platforms.
Whenever a customer reads a QR code generated with QRPager, a waiting webpage will open, and in that moment the iPhone with the QRPager installed will receive the alert (with the pre-set text) notifying that this QR code has been read and they will be able to give an answer in response.
This service is completely FREE for both the customer reading the QR code and you using the QRPager to generate the QR code. It does NOT use SMS network nor any other kind of service entailing any additional costs.
