Tutankhamun’s tomb chambers have been reconstructed true to the originals and their dimensions, so that visitors to the exhibition receive an authentic impression of the space. Eighty-eight years after its discovery, the tomb of Tutankhamun is opened once more! Over 1,000 replicas of the most important objects, fashioned by the best Egyptian craftsmen, can be admired. The information about the culture and the spiritual world of the ancient Egyptians – their funerary cult, their gods, their dynasties, their mysterious hieroglyphic script – is presented in multimedia format. A new part of the exhibition, seen for the first time in Frankfurt, will reveal Howard Carter’s exciting life for archaeology in documents, notes and drawings, some of them never published before. Almost two million visitors have so far seen the exhibition in Zurich, Brno, Munich, Barcelona, Budapest, Hamburg, Cologne and Madrid. All the content can be permanently loaded onto your i-Phone to avoid expensive roaming charges.
