Bertrand Schmitt is the CEO and co-founder of App Annie. He is a technology entrepreneur with over 15 years of executive experience in the mobile, Internet and analytics spaces across the U.S., Europe and Asia. Previously, he was VP Mobile for Gomez, a web analytics company acquired by Compuware in 2009 for $295M, and before that he was COO and VP Marketing at mobile analytics company Zandan, acquired by Keynote Systems. Bertrand also held management and founder roles at Neocom Multimedia and Arkadia Netsystems. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a Masters in Computer Science from Institut Superieur d'Electronique (ISEP) in France. Outside of running tech companies, Bertrand can usually be found playing with the latest gadgets and reading on his tablet.
Marshall heads up the financial and operational aspects of App Annie. He joins us from sunny Los Angeles and brings a diverse mix of financial and corporate strategy experience with various top tier companies. He was previously an associate at Shamrock Capital Advisors, a media-focused private equity firm and prior to that worked in M&A for Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG). Marshall is a graduate of UCLA.
Lylian heads up the engineering team at App Annie. He spent many years in the mobile monitoring space leading the mobile engineering at Zandan and later at Gomez, spearheading the creation of the Active Mobile product. Zandan was acquired by Keynote Systems and Gomez by Compuware. Lylian graduated with a Computer Science degree in France.
Nicolas is responsible for Worldwide Sales and App Annie's US Operation. A veteran in the video game industry, he has over 17 years of experience in sales, licensing and business development with leading publishers globally. Prior to joining App Annie, Nick served as VP of Business Development at Glu where he was responsible for inbound licensing and OEM partnerships. He also served as Senior Director of Licensing at Atari, Inc. where he was responsible for outbound licensing of the Atari and Hasbro portfolio on all new digital platforms. Nicolas served as Vice President of Sales for Virgin Interactive and Director of Sales for Interplay Entertainment from 1996 to 2003. He holds an MBA in International Business from ESC Grenoble, France and a BS in Management from UMASS Dartmouth.
Matt heads up new product development and cross product coordination. He began his career as a consultant with Bain & Company in London, South Africa and Australia. Before joining App Annie, Matt headed product management and digital marketing at Confused.com, a British price comparison website. Matt holds an MA in Economics from Oxford, an MSc in Information Systems from Cardiff and an MBA in Marketing from Tsinghua.
Danielle leads the research and analysis team at App Annie. She has 20 years of experience as an industry analyst and market research executive working with many of the world's leading technology companies advising them on product development and marketing, consumer behavior and customer segmentation, and corporate strategy. Most recently, Danielle was the group vice president and GM of IDC's Mobility, Digital Media & Consumer research team where she developed new research offerings, built analyst teams, and advised industry executives. Danielle graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a bachelors in finance.
Olivier Bernard is the Vice President Europe, Middle East, Africa, responsible for App Annie's sales and operation in the region. Olivier brings with him a decade of sales, business development and operational management experience in the mobile and gaming industries. Prior to joining App Annie, Olivier served as VP/General Manager International at Glu mobile (GLUU) where he was responsible for managing all Glu's client base and overseeing all operations in EMEA, APAC and LATAM. Prior to joining Glu, Olivier held senior business positions within the game industry at Vodafone Group (VOD) from 2003 to 2006 and Atari (ATA) from 1998 to 2002. He holds an MA in History and Political Science from Lyon II, France.
As VP of Account Management, Remco oversees the renewal strategy and execution for all of App Annie's customers worldwide. Prior to App Annie, Remco co-founded Distimo, where he was responsible for global business development and sales. Remco holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor Degree in Business Information Technology from the University of Twente.
Junde manages business development and sales in Asia for App Annie. He started his career in web startups while he was in university, and has since accumulated experience at web and mobile startups and corporations, in particular business development roles at companies like Scoreloop, SingTel, and Tapjoy. Junde graduated with a Computer Science degree from the National University of Singapore.
As the head of Customer Success, Justin is responsible for ensuring that customers get the maximum value from App Annie products. Before App Annie he was in Business Development at Zinch China (acquired by Chegg) where he was responsible for partnerships with leading Chinese tech companies such as Baidu and Tencent. A graduate of the UPenn's Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology, Justin holds degrees from The Wharton School and the School of Engineering and Applied Science.
As Director of Account Management, Andrew is responsible for renewals. Prior to joining App Annie, Andrew spent 4 years at Yammer where he worked in Enterprise Sales covering APAC and the Northwest US, managing renewals for accounts across the globe. Prior to Yammer, Andrew spent 4 years at Salesforce.
Bin is leading App Annie's business in China. He has been playing an active role in China's Mobile Internet Industry since 2009. As organiser of Mobile Monday Beijing, he has maintained an efficient and pleasant platform for different actors of the whole ecosystem to meet, share, and setup cooperation.
His previous works at Orange and Samsung had helped Mobile Internet companies to establish meaningful partnerships with these two important players of the industry. Bin's goal at App Annie is to provide direct support to our partners and clients with comprehensive data, in-depth analysis, and what's more, a global vision.
Takuto started his career as an entrepreneur in 1996. He built several startup companies which ran web production, data centers, e-commerce, online game publishing and operation businesses. With 17 years of experience in the B2B, B2C, IT, and Digital Media industries, Takuto joined App Annie in March 2014 as a Business Development Manager, and was promoted to be the Country Director of Japan in October 2014.
Doyle graduated from California State University (CSUC) in 2003 where he majored in Computer Engineering, and holds an MBA from Boston University (via KUBS). Prior to App Annie, he held key leadership positions at IT research firms & Global Companies. Doyle was previously Licensing Manager at i-Station, Korea Sales Manager at BARCO, Senior Business Development Manager at Gartner and Korea Head of Sales at GfK. He joined App Annie as Korea's Country Director in November 2014. He brings his extensive experience with IT, mobile and retail markets to this role to aid Korean clients in building solid mobile strategies in the very competitive Asia-Pacific app stores.
Luis is responsible for driving App Annie's awareness among stakeholders from the financial services and investor communities (venture capital, private equity, hedge funds, analysts and asset managers) who have a commercial interest in apps. He wrote "Super Apps" an iTunes iPad eBook covering Apple's App Store history and providing marketing advice to app developers. Prior to founding Dutz Technologies (publisher of AppPicker, acquired in 2012) he spent more than a decade working at Fisher Investments holding several senior management roles. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley, with a degree in political science.
Leonid manages business development and sales in Russia and CIS for App Annie. Leonid began his career working as an Investment Analyst for Regional Government (PPP), after which he joined a small interactive agency named Manufactura Soft where he set up Mobile Development Department and created a few amazing apps, one of which was mentioned as App of the Week and nominated for The Webby Awards. Following that, he served as Senior Project Manager in Undev, one of the top software development companies in Moscow. He also has a background in Banking, developing and maintaining accounts and new opportunities at Performance Lab. Leonid graduated with a MPA degree from Voronezh State University.
