Play the New Hero: Vox!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Vox is a mobile sniper able to quickly dash around the battlefield. Vox deals significant damage either to a single target or to groups of enemies depending on his build. This flexibility allows Vox to react to the needs of his team.

JULIA'S SONG (Heroic Perk)
Vox's basic attacks also deal crystal power as bonus damage and grant Vox some HP barrier. When attacking enemies with Resonance, this damage will bounce to nearby enemies, refresh Resonance and also grant additional barrier.

SONIC ZOOM
Vox dashes in the targeted direction, throwing two attacks to the nearest enemy (prioritizing heroes). Overdrive: The first attack applies Resonance.

PULSE
Vox emits a sonic pulse that echoes off nearby enemies and applies Resonance. The pulse applies a slow that is significantly stronger near its center. Each upgrade to Pulse increases the damage Vox's basic & bouncing attacks deal to targets with Resonance.

WAIT FOR IT ...
Vox fires an ultrasonic wave that applies Resonance to enemies in its path and refreshes all Resonance. Shortly after, a wide shockwave explodes along the same path, dealing crystal damage and silencing enemies. Striking enemy heroes with the shockwave will also cause Resonance to bounce.

Play the New Hero: Celeste!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Celeste commands the stars, drawing upon their power to overwhelm opponents. Her star formations help keep enemies at a distance as well as finish them off as they flee. Start Celeste in the lane and fight from the furthest edges of battle.

JULIA'S LIGHT (HEROIC PERK)
Celeste's basic attacks are spells, dealing crystal damage with a crystal ratio. Celeste's basic attacks also briefly reveal enemy heroes.

HELIOGENESIS
Celeste forms a small star at a target location, dealing crystal damage to nearby enemies. The star will briefly linger on the field. If Celeste uses this ability on an existing star, the star will go supernova, dealing more crystal damage in a larger area.

CORE COLLAPSE
After a brief delay, the target location collapses and nearby enemies are stunned and take crystal damage.

SOLAR STORM
Celeste launches a storm of stars that travel across the world. The lead star passes through all enemies it hits, dealing crystal damage. Trailing stars collide with the first enemy they hit, dealing crystal damage in an area. The number of trailing stars increases each time Solar Storm is upgraded. Deals reduced damage to non-heroes and does not damage structures.

Play the New Hero: Ardan!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Ardan is the new damage-soaking tank protector joining the Halcyon Fold. Check the in-game News section for his tactical breakdown.

JULIA'S GIFT (HEROIC PERK)
Ardan heals for a percentage of his missing health every time he takes damage. Instead of energy, Ardan uses Vengeance. Vengeance builds over time and can also be gained with basic attacks, critical strikes and abilities. Any bonus energy and energy regen are converted to crystal power.

VANGUARD
Ardan dashes to an ally, damaging and slowing nearby enemies while granting the target a burst of move speed and a barrier that scales with Ardan's bonus health. Any time the ally takes damage, Ardan gains vengeance. This ability can be used on Ardan, but the barrier, speed boost and vengeance gain is only half as strong.

BLOOD FOR BLOOD
Ardan leaps and punches his target. This deals crystal and weapon damage (that can crit) and applies basic-attack effects. Blood for Blood can only be activated when Ardan has 100% vengeance and will consume all of it.


GAUNTLET
Ardan throws down the gauntlet, projecting a perimeter around the target area and gaining full vengeance. Enemies who cross the perimeter are stunned and take crystal damage. Stunning an enemy grants vengeance. If Ardan leaves the perimeter it vanishes.

Play the New Hero: Skaarf!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Skaarf is a little flamethrower who thrives at dealing long-range and area-of-effect damage, especially during teamfights. Read his tactical breakdown in the in-game News section.

Here are Skaarf's abilities:

FAN THE FLAMES (Heroic Perk)
Skaarf’s fire-based abilities light the target ablaze, burning enemies over time. Skaarf’s basic attacks and fire abilities will refresh the burn duration. Each of Skaarf’s basic attacks will also increase the damage of the burn. This fire does not burn turrets and deals reduced damage to Kraken.

SPITFIRE
Skaarf spits a fireball that deals crystal damage to the first enemy or creature in its path.

GOOP
Skaarf hurls goop onto the target location. Enemies walking through the sticky substance are slowed. Skaarf’s fire abilities will set the goop ablaze with a burst of damage that extends slightly beyond the gooped area. Once aflame, a gooped location will not slow but will apply damage over time.

DRAGON BREATH
Skaarf inhales deeply, slowing fleeing enemies and accelerating closing allies. Skaarf then exhales flame, incinerating enemies in a cone in front of him. While exhaling, enemies moving against the flame are slowed while allies moving with the flame are accelerated. Skaarf may move freely while spewing fire, but he cannot basic attack or use other abilities.

Play the New Hero: Taka!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Taka is an Assassin of House Kamuha. He wields massive switchblades, and his mind is free of memory and remorse. "It is a great honor to be of House Kamuha," he is told. Read his comic series in the in-game News section.

Here are Taka's abilities:

HOUSE KAMUHA (Heroic Perk)
Each time Taka critically strikes, he gains 30% of the damage back as health along with a burst of speed. Every 2 seconds, Taka is guaranteed a critical strike. Taka gains 1 Ki stack when he uses an ability or performs a critical strike (up to 5 stacks). Each stack of Ki increases the frequency of critical strikes and accelerates ability cooldowns.

KAITEN

Here are Joule's abilities:
HEAVY PLATING (heroic perk)
Joule takes reduced damage from basic attacks that hit her from the front and sides. Damage is reduced by 15 - 33% (level 1 - 12).

ROCKET LEAP
Joule leaps to a target location. Enemies caught underneath Joule take full damage and are stunned, while enemies near the impact are knocked away, slowed and take 1/3 the damage.

THUNDER STRIKE
Joule thrusts her sword forward, arcing a bolt of energy out through the blade. This strike deals both weapon and crystal damage in a line in front of her. When this successfully strikes an enemy, the next Thunder Strike within 7 seconds will deal bonus damage and cost extra energy. This buff can stack up to 5 times and is lost when stunned. When maxed, this ability can crit weapon damage.

BIG RED BUTTON
Joule fires a massive beam of energy in a target direction that continually deals damage to all targets along its path. The force of this beam pushes Joule backward during channeling.

Play the Brand-new Hero: Krul, the Tortured Undead

Krul adds a terrifying presence to the Halcyon Fold. Read all about this melee carry in the Heroes section of the game.

Here are his abilities:

DEAD MAN'S RUSH
Krul dashes to the target and deals damage. Activating Dead Man's Rush grants Krul a health barrier for 2 seconds.

SPECTRAL SMITE
After learning this ability, Krul's basic attacks apply Weakness stacks (up to 8 per target). Each Weakness stack reduces attack speed and crystal power and allows Krul to lifesteal by basic attacking the target. Spectral Smite consumes the stacks to deal damage and regain health based on the number of stacks consumed.

FROM HELL'S HEART
Krul pulls Hellrazor from his chest and hurls it in the targeted direction. If the sword hits an enemy hero (on the way out or the way back), it stuns and slows the target and deals damage. Stun duration is longer based on the distance the sword has traveled.

Smarter Matchmaking

- The Matchmaker will do its best to place you in matches with other players at your experience level, whenever possible. Newcomers are more likely to be matched with other newcomers, and dedicated players are more likely to be matched with other diehards. This means the more you play, the more likely you are to have compelling matches with worthy allies and enemies.
- Public Match queue now shows elapsed time instead of "matching 5/6," etc. Removes some unnecessary queue notifications.
- Removes PLAY NOW functionality; all non-Practice Mode matches are now 3v3.

Hero updates:
- Catherine's Stormguard cooldown begins after the 6-second barrier ends. Cooldown reduced from 15 to 8 seconds.
- Petal's Pets will now apply Frostburn's mini-slow when they chomp on someone.

Item updates:
- Tension Bow changed from "Deal 85% of your weapon power as TRUE damage" to "Deal +250 bonus damage with +30% armor pierce." It still has a 5-second cooldown.
- Breaking Point now grants 40% attack speed instead of 500 Health. Will only stack if you auto-attack enemy heroes (instead of stacking from all types of damage to heroes).
- Warhorn cooldown increased to 40s. Speed burst duration changed from 3 seconds to 1 second per hero affected. So, using Warhorn on your whole team is just as good as before but is less effective on fewer heroes.
- Stormguard Banner/Warhorn no longer deal bonus damage against Petal's Pets.
- Travel and Journey Boots have lower sprint cooldowns, and Journey Boots grants a mix of health, shield and armor instead of raw health.
- Atlas Pauldron cost reduced from 2,200 gold to 1,900. Armor and shielding provided also reduced.
- Reflex Block cooldown lowered to 30s.
- Lucky Strike no longer provides Attack Speed. It instead provides more raw critical strike chance.
- Flare Gun no longer reveals the entire map; it only reveals enemies hidden in brush or behind walls on your screen. It will also reveal neutral creatures, allowing you to see Kraken's health bar through walls. Can stack up to 3 in one inventory slot.
- Multiple Tier 1 items are now more powerful, including Swift Shooter, Crystal Bit, Energy Battery, Light Armor and Light Shield

Misc.
- Jungle camp monsters are now slightly easier to kill, but those monsters also deal more damage.

- Catherine's new Heroic Perk: Gains 2 armor permanently whenever she stuns or silences an enemy hero with her abilities. (Her armor gain per level has been reduced from 8 to 5.)
- Glaive's Bloodsong damage-per-stack lowered from 8 + 8 per level to 8 + 6 per level.
- Koshka's Pouncy Fun damage @ level 5 lowered from 470 to 440; Twirly Death bonus attack damage @ level 5 lowered from 290 to 270.
- Petal pets' damage crystal ratio raised from 0.35 to 0.45; health crystal ratio raised from 0.33 to 0.40.
- Petal seed healing @ level 5 lowered from 15 to 13.

Item updates:
- Breaking Point item remake: Now grants health and escalating weapon power + armor pierce over time.
- Aftershock max % damage lowered from 22% to 20%; energy recharge lowered from 3.5 to 2.4; crystal power lowered from 45 to 35.
- Tension Bow base damage removed (was 60), but Weapon ratio raised from 0.65 to 0.85.
- Serpent Mask active removed; gains 20 weapon power instead.
- Frostburn & Eve of Harvest energy lowered from 300 to 250; recharge lowered from 6.0 to 5.0.
- Clockwork energy recharge reduced from 4.5 to 2.4.
- Shiversteel reduced from 800 health to 600 health.

Misc.
- Spawn platform invulnerability: The longer you stand on the platform, the more invulnerable you become.
