WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
“Poshmark is a great online resale platform.” —Vogue
“The social marketplace is great for hunting down a cult-loved item that's otherwise sold out everywhere as well as finding deals on popular brands like Lululemon, Free People, and Anthropologie.” —Popsugar
“Poshmark is a brilliant way to sell and buy clothing. This side hustle app (or for some people, their full-time job!) allows you to take a photo of something in your closet and upload it to your account in less than 60 seconds, all from your phone.” —Parade
“The marketplace that’s so posh that celebrities use it—especially to raise money for good causes, like DJ Khaled, Serena Williams, Katherine Heigl and Rachael Ray” —Buzzfeed
For the past month I have been trying to get some help from tech support and no one has been able to help me. I was ask to do different steps on solving my problem. It didn’t work at all.!i sent another email I was told that a new update app was going to be out no 9-29-20 that I should wait til then. I’m seriously thinking of dropping this app.
So, I like Poshmark it’s great for listing some items from your closet you want to sell. There are a couple things I would like to see improved. So, shipping. $7.11 is of course and average price but when I make an offer to someone I wish I could also negotiate the shipping. It’s kind of ridiculous. Then the follower/social part of the app. It’s SO confusing because people literally follow you all the time and that’s good cause you get your listings viewed, but it’s literally ridiculous how many people are on there which brings me to my next point. How many of these people on Poshmark are actually looking to buy/sell? I feel like there are people on there who are like “ghost” Poshers, because they post listings but then maybe they sell the item to their local consignment shop or maybe donate it, and they delete the app not thinking, so like what I’m trying to say is I wish Poshmark had a way of identifying that and fixing that. It’s really disappointing to find something you actually want to buy, but really it turns out that person no longer is active on Poshmark. Overall it’s a great app, easy to use, and it’s a good side (and by side I mean like, little side) hobby. But, the social aspect needs to change a bit.
This is a good way to end up stuck with clothes that don’t fit. Just make sure you don’t buy any brands that you don’t already have and know how the stuff will fit because you can’t return anything you can only resell.
No phone number to speak to anyone. Email inquiries take a ridiculous number of days for a response. The responses do not address the customer issues.
I sell on Mercari as well. Your competitor. Whatever I post there I also post on Poshmark. I make way more money there. The key differences which I feel seriously need to be changed are the amount of shipping you guys charge like let us pick how much we want to charge the customer for shipping according to the weight. Most T-shirt’s and leggings are under a pound and can therefor go for less than 7 dollars and some change which is what poshmark charges flat out. Also when I sell an item for 13 on poshmark I only get like 7 dollars in actual profit. And when I sell something for 13 on Mercari I get around 11 and some change in actual profit. Give us more money back I think you guys are taking wayyyyy to much from us for using your platform. But again either way I use Mercari more and sell way more over there from the beginning.
