It was disappointing….
I was really siked after the first one, bought this one, but it seemed out of place. Some of it didn't make sense, and overall, it felt waaaay too easy compared to the first one. It was easier but better animated, more places and things to explore, and very beautiful to look at, but it wasn't as fun as the first one. I did enjoy it, but not as much.OH! And why does it say "to be continued" if there's not a third game! That was inferiating! Why isn't there a third one yet?!
The first one was good, sadly the second one the puzzels are so lame and easy my dog could solve them if he had fingers. Not an ounce of challenge the creator put no effort into this most likely people would buy it expecting a game like the first. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
Empress of the Deep 2
Not bad. The first one was AWFUL!!!!!!!
#1 is still the only good one
Loved the first one, didn't like the non-sequel follow up (the train one), wasn't crazy about this one either…. The graphics really aren't up to par with the first game - some of them made me laugh outright (like the otter?! c'mon…worse than clip art). The plot is very thin and a lot of the gameplay is really confusing. I had to consult a walkthrough several times and I found a lot of the text in the game referred to events or things characters said that never actually happened, and I found myself really really needing to repeat the dialogue sometimes because I was so confused. It's weird, it's like the developers made up a whole plot in their minds and then continually referred to it without ever actually describing it, so the player has no idea what's going on for most of the game. This one does have some of of the strengths of their other games - for the most part, the graphics are great, the music is excellent, navigation is easy…well that's about it. The hidden object scenes in this one are ridiculous - I actually looked for the objects in only one or two puzzles and for the rest I just clicked everything on the screen until I hit them all. The minigame puzzles are also completely obnoxious - you have no idea how to do any of them! You just click aimlessly until something happens and then try to figure out what the heck you just did. It's also worth noting that while in all of their other games, the only interaction is clicking, this one also involves click-dragging. Didn't figure that out until the third time I consulted a walkthrough. Not a terrible game in and of itself, but in comparison to their other ones, EOTD2 is really a massive disappointment.
My sister has down syndrome. She beat this game in 1 hour.
