Awesome for the job!
As a designer, finding a font out of thousands available is not easy within Adobe apps… although it should be…. it’s not…This program is awesome. If you have two monitors, you can put the font program on one side and Illustrator on the other and drag the word or words you typed in the Font Studio with exact style and size over to Illustrator and it just magically works.Love it.Keep up the good work team!
Simply Perfect for what I needed
Opened smoothly, simply easy to use right off the bat. This is PERFECT for what I need for quick design purposes. I used to own Fontcase, made by BohemianCoding … however, they apparently closed down shop on Fontcase, which was SUPER GLITCHY and annoying (hence them shutting it down). Super happy with my purchase.
Could be great
but you can't adjust past a certain size without everything getting cut off. Deal breaker.
Perfect (with a few suggestions)
Font Studio has so much potential to be a great / simple experience. There are a lot of expensive packages out there that don't do nearly what this does.Being able to space the letters and adjust angles is key when designing logos and modifying the appearance of the font to make it unique. This software does that.Suggestions:Okay starting to see some of it's minor and some major shortcomings...- Fonts with larger sizes such as 60+ begin to overlap the 5 star rating system. I would suggest moving this functionality to a single icon next to the eyeball or make it only show up when you hover over the row similar to how twitter feed works with their actions.- Font names are not visible when you increase the font sizes above 50+ This should probably be in it's own label and not move around when you increase font size.My suggestion would be to make some sort of "meta info bar" that sits at the bottom of each row. This could have a clearly defined gradient or something to make it stand out. It could also include your button bar with your eyeball and star ratings. Then you have the entire row above that for just the preview text.- Style Editor integer fields should be adjustable via arrow key bindings.- Info / Font Information button does not seem to be functioning and remains disabled at all times. This goes with the meta info bar, no real need for the toggler if you separate concerns a bit on that I don't think.- Needs to allow negative values in the integer fields in the style editor.Other than that, keep up the good work!
