I couldn’t figure out how to give different point totals for different assignments within the same category. I gave up after an hour. It was expensive. Too bad. This is not a very intuitive program. The videos seem to be about emailing mostly. The are not helpful. It gave me a headache.
Easy to Navigate, want better report format for parents
This program was easy to set up and start using. I miss some of the features of Easy Grade pro, especially the nicely formatted tables that made the parent reports easy to read. If nothing else, please include the date of each assignment in the parent report.
The thought and functionality that went into this is awesome! I have much greater statistical insight into student and class performance now without going to all the work of setting up complicated spreadsheet formulas. The integrated ability to email students their grade status is also a bonus, as is the ability to sync with the Attendance app on my iPad. Thank you so much for this great tool!! Exporting is also easy, but it would be nice, too, if I could import grades as .csv data from a scantron machine or from Blackboard. In the meantime, I am fine doing my primary work in GradeA and exporting to other programs. Oh, I am so happy to have found this app!
Good, but could use some tweaks...
I've been on the website and the videos aren't helping me. Do I have to manually enter all my students? I was hoping that I could upload all my rosters at once. I have tried the CSV file and text edit, but it's not working. If I have to manually enter ALL the names, this isn't ideal for me. Can someone please help me?Update: I was able to get in contact with the creator of the application. Although I find the interface still confusing at times, I'm starting to get the hang of it thanks to his guidance. On a side note, even though it's a grading application, it looks stellar on my Retina Macbook Pro. =)
Highly functional, room for UI improvement
Having used Attendance for iOS, this app is proving to be essentially what I expected: not much in the way of UI, a little unintuitive, but ultimately highly functional, and certainly better than the usual tools we have at our disposal. I am glad this developer is out there building the kinds of things teachers need and can use.
