Graph IDE™ CE(*) is a trailblazing data
visualization application with many one-of-a-kind and first-to-implement achievements over the course of its 27 years.
In the beginning, there was the basic rectilinear graph. Then many nonlinear graphs such as logarithmic and polar. Along
the way, a complete programming facility was added for automated data importing, generation and animation. A flat
translation of the graph structures was added for navigation purposes. One of the first (if not the first) Cloud
services was added to vend graphs to the Internet and transfer Graph IDE documents. Documents that graphs are placed on
became multi-paged and multi-layered. Multi-y-axes, 3D graphs, date graphs, heat map graphs, spreadsheets, pie and bar
graphs added. Unique floating ticks (a graphing aficionado's favorite) added. User specified base log graphs, along with
appropriate autoscaling, labelling and full-cycle and sub-cycle formatting, added. In order to be more innovative, an
overhaul to the user interface was accomplished thus adding even more unique and trailblazing features. Then, through a
combination of never-seen-before automated and recursive language parsing, Graph IDE was bootstrapped to become
multi-platform and recursive while at the same time accelerating its feature additions. That means Graph IDE is used to
make Graph IDE thus making it uniquely capable. Long ago, its inspector editors, and other components, were factored and
redesigned in order to provide the best possible user experience. All graphics and graphs are generated with concurrent
processing to take advantage of multi-core platforms. A comprehensive implementation of graphical operations such as
copy/paste, dragging, creating and editing added. All of this to empower you, the user of Graph IDE.
Finally, with this version of Graph IDE, VVI is proud to announce the latest new feature in this unique graphing application:
Time series strip charting the likes of which are unprecedented. Through a combination of multithreading, multiple buffering and resampling millions of time series values can be viewed at one time and real-time data sampled at rates approaching millions of samples per second. Multiple strip chart interfaces can be laid out, each one acquiring real-time time series data. CSV files (even ones containing millions of time series rows) can be imported to strip charts. Incorporation of IOT client queries and data acquisition device drivers for real-time sampling of voltage signals from DAQ hardware as well as centralized data servers makes acquiring real-time and distributed time series data possible. Use of feedback loops, filtering transformations, and data mapping makes working with streaming data applicable to more situations. Real-time spectral graphs can be dragged onto a document next to the strip chart to visualize time series and frequency simultaneously on the same document.
