Great for learning morse code, and the app follows the Koch method.
No nonsense cw trainer
Nice no nonsense cw trainer easy to understand interface. Love the random work generator really makes you concentrate.
About Half Way...
The good is that it does Koch. The problem, however, is after it's run through the exercise it just shows you the code. The individual is forced to manually grade his work. There are free applications that will grade your accuracy. Since advancing to the next level requires you to have a certain accuracy, this is only a 1/2 solution.
good but needs improvement!
I would suggest that the "random" words relate more closely to amateur radio. Specifically to words that one might encounter in a QSO. Teaching word recognition is the fastest way to get over/eliminate the risk of - plateaus… otherwise the code as generated is precise and easy to copy. Good App!
Good CW Program
I've been a ham for 47 years and CW is my favorite mode, although I do work SSB and some of the other digital modes. This CW program does exactly what it says it does. No more and no less. My code speed is 30-35 wpm. I copy most in my head and only write down name, qth, and other vital stuff. The neat thing about this program is it will allow you to use the window as a scratch pad and you can type the text as you hear it. Not only does it help with the learning of the code, it will test your typing abilities too. It's a fun program and I feel well worth the price charged. It would be nice to incorporate simulated qso's and importing of text to be sent. I sent an email to the seller requesting such and we might see it in the future as he has it on his "to-do" list. This program will definitely bring you from a beginner to a super cw operator.
