Excellent app, one suggestion
great application! thank you! My suggestion is that when a test fails, in the log report the port that it’s trying and the source IP, this way we can more easily check the firewall settings. also the final success/fail report is incorrect, any failures report as 2 success 2 fail, even if 3 of the tests fail. The visual representation is correct, just in the logs it reporting wrong.
Amazing Tool for Enterprise Admins
It’s funny, we were having connection issues with the APNS service on our corporate network. Apple engineering told us about this wonderful little tool. The logging is perfect and the app is simple. Thanks for filling in the void left by Apple!
Only way to test Push
Push Notification allows me to instantly see whether my Mac can reach the Apple Push Notification service. If not, something’s wrong with the network. Though I could use telnet to test basic connectivity, I can’t use telnet to test an actual push notification. You need an app for that; why not use this app?
Works as designed
It does exactly what is advertised.
This app allows me to instantly see whether a network is blocking ports required for the Apple Push Notification service. Sure, I could use commands in Terminal, but this app is much more convenient.
