Not working in Yosemite 10.10.3
Doesn’t work in 10.10.3 • App fires up but nothing is displayed on the menu bar. • There’s an entry for it in Notification Center and in Activity Monitor (where I killed it). • No entries in the system log file. • Too bad, I was looking forward to trying it out.
Needs some extra features
Just to re-iterate some of the other comments: * Timer should simply let you enter the number of minutes (and maybe hours) to count down, no need to be formatted as a time. * Audible alerts are good things, please add them. * I want to be able to save a timer that is not running, so that, for instance, I can start a 7-minute timer any time I need one with just one click. * Likewise, I want to be able to pause and restart a stopwatch. * The world clock menu is very, very, very long to scroll through. A searchable list box would be a better approach.
It’s almost good
I have three observations. Timer. I could be wrong, but the idea of a “timer” is to count down the specified amount of time. In which case what is the purpose of “AM/PM” in the timer? It is confusing. By default, the timer shows “12:05 AM”. So what does that mean? The clock will count down until “12:05 AM”? When you start the timer set to “12:05 AM”, it starts counting down from five minutes. Apparently the “12” means zero, but you cannot actually set it to zero. Eg, if I want a five minute timer, I’d need to enter “00:05”, but instead you have to enter “12:05 AM”. HUH!? And what’s the story with the AM/PM for a timer? I’m sorry, but that’s messed up. Stopwatch. What is the point of a stopwatch if I can’t pause or stop it? Once you create one, you can only delete it. Pomodoro. There’s a cosmetic issue on Mavericks (10.9.5). The text “minutes" next to “Long break” have the letter “s” wrapped in a new line. It doesn’t look like on the screenshot. It says “minute” and right under it “s”. Other then these issues, it would be a pretty nice, multi-function clock/timer/alarm/pomodoro/stopwatch everything utility. And yes, like others, I wouldn’t mind having an optional audible notification when appropriate (e.g. for timer, alarm, notification).
Started this up, and seems to be pretty inconspicuous while still maintaining all functionality. Also guys, PLEASE READ THIS: when the app first starts, there will be A NEW ICON IN THE MENUBAR, but no app window itself. All options are available from there. Too many people make this mistake!
An alarm with no audible notification
An alarm with no audible notification - just a tiny silent notification panel. Complete waste of money!
