Cisco/Arista/Juniper engineers, don’t waste your money!
The app does not allow you to copy-paste blocks of commands into the terminal window—a must have if you need to push a large configuration to the device.
…that’s all I asked of it, and that’s what I got.
Rough around the edges
I was hoping this serial terminal program would do the trick for what I need, but unfortunately, it's not quite up to snuff. Some things I noticed immediately:* The "Local Echo" checkbox doesn't work correctly. I can click it to enable/disable local echo, but the checkbox itself doesn't toggle.* The Color setting is a bit erratic. If you start a session and it doesn't look like there's any text, click the Colors icon and make sure it's not set to white.* Paste doesn't work as expected. Text is pasted into the window but isn't sent to the device* A setting to control the behavior of the return key (CR, LF or CRLF) would be much appreciated.
Basic Terminal Support
It's a good start. It doesn't do any of the fancy stuff, like support changing colors, or screen redraws in place. It just spits it out and dumps it to the window. Unfortunately, it's not entirely useful for me, as I can't get into host system BIOS, but it might work for some other testing needs.
