Ever seen racehorses galloping for victory? Or maybe sled dogs, greyhounds or other speedy animals? What about slugs? Are they fit for racing? Absolutely!
Slugs are not the kind of animals that come to mind when you think about racing. Slugs are slow. Slugs are phlegmatic. Slugs are sluggish! There’s hardly anything exciting about them. But, if instead of damaging our gardens, they could be a little more useful, then why not let them?
Slug race is a betting game, using exclusively virtual money. You can bet your money on one of the four slugs, each of them being slightly different as far as performance, speed or health condition are concerned. When your bets are done, let the slugs go and earn some money for you.
The problem with slugs is that, not being typical racing creatures, they occasionally suffer from heart attacks, break their legs or get devoured by something faster. On the other hand, they sometimes get powered up one way or another, so it may be really hard to predict the outcome of the race before they cross the finish line.
In the trial version there are two main limitations:
1) There is only one ending condition available (as opposed to three in the full version), which is a set number of races. Additionally the maximum number of races is 20. In the full version, where the number of races is practically unlimited, you can also set maximum racing time or just choose to play as long as there are at least two players with any money left.
2) The number of slug events (which is all the stuff that may occur to a slug, like breaking a leg, a heart attack etc.) is limited two six. In the full version there are twice that much possible events that may occur.
Buying the full version will automatically remove the ads.
One more thing: Not a single slug has suffered any injury in the production of the game.
