My first impression is awful.(MILD SPOILERS for the first village) The game will not let my character live in peace and solitude. I tried multiple combinations of choices (restarting ~6 times), but at best, the townspeople worship me because I try to be somewhat nice, or at worst, when I meddle in none of the affairs AT ALL, the game takes over my character and assumes he wants to be their lord or god when confronted by their bishop. While complex consequences for your actions are a treat in games nowadays, this game does it poorly. While I was pleasantly surprised of the nuances and not just 'greyed out', but also hidden options unlocked by the right combination of previous choices, if you have a certain character in mind that's not foreseen by the game, you feel shoehorned into a completely different one. As illustrated with my example of wanting to be a secluded vamp in the wilderness or a small village. The game forces attention on you, after "baiting" you with a lot of 'I'd best not meddle in these affairs to avoid attention, even if I miss out on rewards'-kind of choices. I got so frustrated that I had to take a break, and then abandon my preferred archetype to play the game with a more believable character. I will adjust the review if the rest of the game positively surprises me, but it really left a horrible first impression for me.
Pls other Language german etc.
I loved this game and took great care in fleshing out my character BUT... Then it suddenly ended midway and they sent me to part 2, which was of course not for free! :( You can't imagine how disappointed I was!
Nice and broad opportunity to flesh out your character, but buggy as anything! Three starts, same choices, and still the game gives me completly different choices to make, absolutely uninfluenced by the stats.
