Integrated Healthcare Communicator (i-COMM) is the first smartphone application developed in Singapore to
facilitate communication with vernacular language speaking patients in the local hospital environment.
Led by nursing professionals, i-COMM app was developed to enable healthcare professionals to efficiently communicate with vernacular language speaking patients, leading to a seamless and coordinated patient care experience.

★ 500 Commonly Used Phrases
The library contains mainly healthcare specific phrases, such as “Do you have any drug allergy?”, “Please use the call bell to ask for help.” etc. There are also general phrases, such as “Good morning” and “What is your name?”. All phrases have been thoughtfully crafted to strike a balance between formal and colloquial way of speaking in Singapore.
Select pre-translated phrases in the following vernacular languages: Cantonese, Hokkien and Malay. Each downloaded language would occupy a certain amount of mobile storage space.
