Bertrand Schmitt is the CEO and co-founder of App Annie. He is a technology entrepreneur with over 15 years of executive experience in the mobile, Internet and analytics spaces across the U.S., Europe and Asia. Previously, he was VP Mobile for Gomez, a web analytics company acquired by Compuware in 2009 for $295M, and before that he was COO and VP Marketing at mobile analytics company Zandan, acquired by Keynote Systems. Bertrand also held management and founder roles at Neocom Multimedia and Arkadia Netsystems. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a Masters in Computer Science from Institut Superieur d'Electronique (ISEP) in France. Outside of running tech companies, Bertrand can usually be found playing with the latest gadgets and reading on his tablet.
As President, Ted is responsible for the company’s customer-centric efforts and go-to-market strategy. Ted has over 25 years of senior-level experience leading high-growth sales organizations across the technology industry. Most recently he served as CRO for global marketing software provider Kenshoo, where he led global sales and customer operations for three years. Prior to Kenshoo, he held senior-level sales positions at SAP and PeopleSoft. Ted holds an M.B.A, International Business and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas.
As Chief Financial Officer, Sujan is responsible for finance, accounting, legal, facilities, investor relations and treasury. Sujan is an operationally-focused seasoned finance executive with over 20 years of strong track record managing large public companies to hyper growth private companies. Sujan most recently served as the SVP & CFO of Couchbase, a leading provider of subscription based NoSQL database software where he helped scale and build the operations while taking the company through hyper growth. Prior to Couchbase, as SVP & CFO, Sujan led a successful $120 million IPO for Model N, a leading provider of revenue management software. Prior to Model N, Sujan served as the VP of Finance and GM of Software Vertical for NetSuite / Oracle, a leading provider of SAAS / cloud based financials and ERP suites. Before joining NetSuite, Sujan served as the EVP & CFO at Transmeta Corporation and as CFO & Secretary at NanoAmp Solutions Inc. Sujan has held several investment banking and operating roles at J.P. Morgan Chase, Lazard and Schlumberger.
As Chief Product Officer, Aaron is responsible for product management, UX and data science for App Annie products. He has over 20 years of experience in various leadership roles in product development, marketing and strategy. Prior to joining App Annie, Mahimainathan held the position of Chief Product Officer for Telerik Inc., a mobile and web development platform and tools company, where he was responsible for building and scaling the product strategy and marketing organization for all of Telerik’s products. He played an integral role in the company’s acquisition by Progress Software Inc. Prior to that, Mahimainathan held the role of VP, Solutions Management at SAP, and previously in product management and consulting roles at Siebel Systems and Oracle Corp. He has an MBA from Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley and an MS in Engineering from State University of New York, Syracuse.
As Chief People Officer, Natasha Kehimkar leads App Annie’s global People and Talent team. With cross-industry experience in global HR, talent acquisition and organization effectiveness within both start-up and established companies, Natasha is responsible for managing strategic initiatives focused on culture, people operations and talent at the company. Prior to App Annie, Natasha served as the VP People at Guardant Health, a Sequoia-backed biotech startup company. Prior to that, she was VP of People and Culture at OpenTable where she oversaw all operational and strategic aspects of People Operations & Talent Acquisition for the company. This was preceded by more than 15 years of HR experience at Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson. She holds a BA in Sociology from McGill University, and a Master’s in Human Resources & Labor Relations.
Lylian heads up the engineering team at App Annie. He spent many years in the mobile monitoring space leading the mobile engineering at Zandan and later at Gomez, spearheading the creation of the Active Mobile product. Zandan was acquired by Keynote Systems and Gomez by Compuware. Lylian graduated with a Computer Science degree in France.
Danielle leads the research and professional services teams at App Annie. She has 20 years of experience as an industry analyst and market research executive working with many of the world's leading technology companies advising them on product development and marketing, consumer behavior and customer segmentation, and corporate strategy. Most recently, Danielle was the group vice president and GM of IDC's Mobility, Digital Media & Consumer research team where she developed new research offerings, built analyst teams, and advised industry executives. Danielle graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a bachelors in finance.
As General Counsel, Scott leads the legal team and is responsible for all legal matters at App Annie. Scott has been practicing law for over 15 years both in private practice and in-house at technology companies. Scott most recently served as Vice President, Legal and Corporate Affairs and Assistant Secretary at NetSuite prior to the company’s successful $9.3B sale to Oracle in 2016. Prior to NetSuite, Scott advised public and private technology companies in private practice at Cooley in San Francisco. Scott started his career at the law firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy in New York. Scott holds a JD from New York University School of Law and a BA in Economics and Spanish Literature from Tufts University.
Brian leads the Americas revenue organization for App Annie. He brings 15 years of experience in sales, sales leadership and business development, building revenue teams and executing go-to-market strategies in a variety of internet software businesses. Most recently, he served as global vice president of Kenshoo, leading the social business to its market leadership position. Prior to Kenshoo, he led sales and business development teams at startups acquired by Experian and Cisco, and held management roles at AT&T. Brian holds a bachelor's degree in economics and finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Cindy brings more than 18 years of sales and product experience in digital advertising, data management, data analytics, and enterprise technologies. In her most recent role at Turn, she was responsible for the overall P&L, strategies, and daily operations of Turn's business in Asia-Pacific. She has advised, sold, and implemented programmatic buying, data management and advanced analytics solutions for major Fortune 1000 companies across the CPG/FMCG, auto, finance, travel, and technology industries.
Prior to Turn, Cindy was Senior Director of Advertising Sales and Marketplaces for Yahoo!’s Asia Pacific operations, where she was responsible for the growth and monetization of the search and performance display businesses. In that role, Cindy developed the region’s advertiser, publisher, and product strategies and drove end-to-end go-to-market plans for global and regional initiatives. Previously, she also led product management, business strategy and product marketing initiatives for Yahoo! Asia's advertising products.
Cindy holds a BA in Economics from Occidental College, and a joint MBA from The Wharton School and MA from the Lauder Institute for International Studies at the University of Pennsylvania.
Nicolas Beraudo is responsible for the overall strategic direction and leadership of App Annie’s EMEA business. With over 20 years working in digital tech and almost as many years in Silicon Valley, Nic has developed a rich understanding of the start-up scene and how mobile is transforming businesses today and into the future. With over 5 years at App Annie, starting as EVP Worldwide Sales and GM of North America in 2012, Nic has helped many businesses from all industries - retail, banking, entertainment, travel, etc - to leverage the opportunity presented by mobile apps; to open new revenue streams and deepen their engagement with customers.
Prior to App Annie, Nic was a veteran in the video game industry, serving as VP of Business Development at Glu where he was responsible for inbound licensing and OEM partnerships. He also served as Senior Director of Licensing at Atari, Inc. where he was responsible for outbound licensing of the Atari and Hasbro portfolio on all new digital platforms. Nicolas served as Vice President of Sales for Virgin Interactive and Director of Sales for Interplay Entertainment from 1996 to 2003. He holds an MBA in International Business from ESC Grenoble, France and a BS in Management from UMASS Dartmouth.
Sam leads the Premier Clients organization and is responsible for the ensuring App Annie's strategic global clients are maximizing the value of the partnership. He brings enterprise sales experience from Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard and started off his career at several startups. Sam graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California, San Diego.
