11-Nov-20: Four stars because DW.COM is somewhat easier to use than the DW app.DW, the news source: Non-U.S. centric news. U.S. news affects the world, and it affects Germany, as well. But unlike U.S. news outlets, DW is able to present other things going on in the world, things that ought to be of interest to us in the U.S.DW.COM on Safari, Edge, or Chrome, may be easier to use than this app. In particular, it is possible to have more than one window open at a time; in the DW app, it’s only possible to have one window open at a time. But the DW app is a quick and easy way to access world news from an other than U.S. perspective.05-Nov-20: App stopped working yesterday. Hopefully, DW will fix it. (11-Nov-20 - App repaired)For what it’s worth: I lived in Germany from 1981 to 1983 and, when I came home, I would listen to DW on shortwave (6040 kHz for the English program, 6085 kHz for the German program). I enjoyed the news from a European perspective, not to mention, the country I had lived in and grown to love. I was also using DW to try to maintain the German I had learned while over there.I wish DW would launch a program like it used to have, English and German audio programs like they used to air over shortwave radio.Side note: DW has a “learn German” app that looks rather interesting, and I will check that one out.

Have been using this app for years. But since early this month (Nov2020) it will not open any more. I deleted the app and re-downloaded it, but with the same behavior. Reading now other recent reviews tells me, that the app must certainly have a glitch which needs to be corrected.
