Clash of Lords 2: Guild Brawl

This is the most confusing and unorganized game I have ever tried playing. The game looks cheap and just thrown together. It’s confusing because it doesn’t tell you how to do anything it only tells you when you can’t do anything. This game is completely stupid.

Please ready my review. Ok this game is really fun but can you add a new town hall, traps, or more maybe a graphics increase? If you do this, it will make the game more fun and addicting like add this thanks:)

The game has a lot of fun features but... - it is hard to find out what does what. Example I recently read the help for coliseum, you can upgrade decrees and troops/towers through research but I cannot see where in any of my buildings - crashes. I have not had many game crashes but it isn’t uncommon for a pvp game to fail to start which necessitates closing the app and restarting it. You get a constant failed to start combat message otherwise - matchmaking, my #1 gripe. You will be spending ages every day clicking through lists of opponents hoping to find one that you have a chance against. This will get better as you become higher level but that means 120+ minimum and I suspect 150+ to bring it to a tolerable level. What is really annoying is that is completely unnecessary. It only costs gold to refresh lists and that is freely available and if the devs do want you to burn gold, I would gladly click on an option that charges 10x to be spared the time wasting. Heck I would even pay 100x if I knew I got worthwhile opponents. It would be so easy to match appropriately, after all these are pvp fights so just match against someone with a similar # of pvp points in that contest. Win you go up and meet tougher opponents, lose and you go down and meet easier opponents just like in every other game.I should mention that the head2head pvp can also be annoying. I have been matched with by the same player 7 times in 15 fights. Now I wouldn’t have minded so much if I had had a chance but already in the first fight I knew I was outgunned by a mile. My suspicion here is that the game lacks active players hence them matching us up over and over despite my losing points and the other guy moving up substantially.As it is I am about to quit because I don’t enjoy spending an hour a day clicking through lists in search of an opponent I may be able to beat (I frequently get bored and so try opponents who I lose badly to).Finally comment, you can play and advance without spending as others have said which is great. However... the game has been out a long time, you will find players with stacks of maxed out (lvl 200) epic heroes so it will take a long time to even reach the middle of the pack. And there are so many other features that improve heroes, rings and glyphs and mutagen and evolving/enlightening etc etc. I frequently buy the newb packs games like this offer just to speed up the start and get a feel for what you can do. My suspicion is you could spend $100 and not even scratch the surface, heck I think you could blow $1000 and still have below average heroes. As a dev they probably pat themselves on the back, it is after all an f2p game and they want people to spend money and there are so many things to spend money on. Problem is there are too many things resulting in it feeling meaningless to spend.

I've been playing this game for around 3-4yrs on my main account now and I've never felt the need to buy gems, unlike games such as clash of clans where you feel pressured at times to buy them. Sure, buying them will help, but it's unnecessary. Gems are easy to get, usually getting around 500-1k a day on average, and there's not really anything a pay to win player can do that a f2p player cant. Those who complain about this game being a p2w game where players buy all the new heroes whenever they come out so they become op, the only reason you would even say that is if you don't actually spend a decent amount of time playing the game in the first place since heroes are relatively easy to get. Overall I highly recommend you give this game a try, especially if you enjoy games like clash of clans. 10/10
