HeadsUp is webcam viewer designed with two primary goals.

1. Always be on top.

The HeadsUp webcam windows will always stay on top no matter what you are doing underneath. Working in full screen mode? No problem! HeadsUp still stays on top.

2. Get out of the way quickly.

Choose a modifier key to instantly hide all open HeadsUp windows. When pressed they instantly become invisible and allow you to click and access the content underneath.


These two functionalities make HeadsUp a great presentation tool for web videos and presentations.


HeadsUp is a simple utility for screen recording or presentations. HeadsUp displays your iSight, FaceTime, or webcam feed directly on your desktop.

To assist with presentations HeadsUp will always stay on top of other windows, desktops, or screens. If you need to access windows or interact with any contact hidden by HeadsUp just hold down ⌘ and HeadsUp becomes completely transparent allowing you to view and click through the window.

Ran once, did not load again
I needed something simple to help me debug a new USB Webcam. It ran once and then never loaded again after repeatedly clicking it and restarting. My machine is up to date and I was expecting a little better performance than this. Although it is simple, it needs to work properly

Auto-adjust ratio now working
Defaults to correct ratio, once again usable. Much improved interface. I like the transparency option, but I wish I could use combinations (command-shift-alt to fade, etc.) Would recommend.

Disapointed
Was really hoping this would work for me. I need to embed video in a preso - and found this app - downloaded it and it won't even launch. Arg. And the webcam viewer support page goes to a twitter page with NO content on it - did I just lose $1.99
