The Phonics Songs App contains 36 songs, sung by children to 14 traditional tunes, in support of synthetic phonics
teaching. Children can follow the words and begin to recognise initial sounds in preparation for learning to read. These
songs can be sung daily at school, at nursery, at pre-school, at home, in the car, walking along the street, with
friends and with family.
The songs have been written to familiar tunes, making them accessible to young children, easy to learn and fun to sing along to. Each song has a specific character, helping children to make visual connections between the sound and the grapheme.
Songs can be selected to play individually; alternatively, the whole set can be played in sequence.
The creation of songs to support the learning of synthetic phonics both at home and at school has been developed by an experienced Early Years teacher. The aim is to encourage children’s enthusiasm for singing whilst embedding pure synthetic phonic sounds. The order of the songs is designed specifically to support current synthetic phonics teaching.
These songs have been used widely in nurseries, pre-schools, schools and the home environment. The website, ‘Phonicsongs.co.uk’, provides additional information and videos of the songs in action.
Please note that the pronunciation is British. There are NO ads.
