Does what I want
I’m fairly happy about this - I haven’t had any issues, and it works. I, too, wonder where the “Screensaver” option in the preferences shown in the screenshots are, but that’s fairly minor. The only other minor quibble that I have is that I don’t quite trust it as yet. It’s not completely clear how closely it tracks my iPhone 5; it’s kind of hard to test it out given that you can’t see the signal strength while you’re testing. I haven’t had it not lock, but it’s like getting to the point where you trust the refrigerator light is always out when you close the door - until the mechanism is clear, you wonder. Also, the signal strength display appears to update rapidly (good) but I wonder whether there’s any load on the phone battery from the Bluetooth activity. These are minor, however, and it’s a great value - so I do recommend it.
Where’s the “Screensaver” option shown in the screenshots?
It works just fine with my Windows Phone. I can set it such that it locks when I get about 10 feet away, or closer with some error. It was easy to set up, although a little design & wording help in the app would go a long way toward making it a great experience. But where’s the “Screensaver” checkmark option shown in the screenshots? I’d prefer to have it trigger screensaver (which can separately be set to require password after it starts, so it’s effectively a lock screen), instead of the basic lockscreen. I went with this app because it appeared to have the screensaver option, but that checkbox isn’t there as far as I can tell.
Chrome (Version 32.0.1700.72 beta) open up to facebook only, Needs to be restarted after some of the locks.
Crashes on lock, then refuses to work
This caused my computer to Grey Screen of Death on a first attempt.Every subsequent attempt has required re-pairing with my device, and it refuses to lock. The interface is terrible, and this might be the worst $2 I’ve spent on the app store yet.
It never connects to my iPhone 5S, even though it is paired and connected to my Mac.
