It helps you clearly understand the health and performance
of the system.
When your system lacks memory, you can clean up the memory with it.
Show information in
status bar (customizable, contextmenu).

iStats is a low-key yet very useful OS X application created to help its users keep their
system's resources under observation.
From iStats' status bar menu, one can keep a close eye on their Mac's CPU,
RAM, network and disk usage.
Furthermore, when your system is low on memory, iStats will also allow you to
effortlessly free RAM with only a mouse click.
