Doesn’t work with iTunes Radio
I downloaded this app with the intention of using it to check the name of the currently playing iTunes Radio track in the Today View but for some reason it displays (null)(null) instead. The app works fine for library music, so why not for iTunes Radio? Also, the developer has no support channels whatsoever, no email, no twitter, nothing.
Does what it does fine
Song names appear in the menu bar as advertised, but it looks like a white label has been taped on. I would like to have some control over the appearance and the ability to rate songs in the app.
Good - needs tweaks
in dark mode, text turns blue after engaging the controls - would be nice to fix thatalso needs preferences - show album/artist/song, scroll, don’t scroll
Not the old TunesBar
First of all, I don’t know if this is supposed to have any relation to the old (and discontinued) TunesBar, but because that’s what I was hoping this would replace, I’ll use it as my benchmark. The old TunesBar allowed you to show any combination of Artist/Album/Track/etc with customizable spacers and text size. TunesBar+ doesn’t—you just get the track title, with fixed font size (obnoxiously big). In fact, there are literally zero options beyond “run at startup”. Furthermore, while the track title updates instantaneously, clicking on menubar to display the play/skip controls is extremely unresponsive and doesn’t even work 90% of the time. Perhaps it hasn’t been tested with Mavericks, or perhaps it was junk to begin with.I’m uninstalling. Hope this was helpful.
